Right now in England, more than 165,000 children are growing up without a stable place to call home, because our housing system no longer works for families at the margins.

They live in hotel rooms, hostels and overcrowded flats. They share beds with siblings, move schools repeatedly, fall out of education and fall between the gaps of the healthcare system and they fall behind before life has properly begun for them.

What was meant to be temporary has become permanent, and the cost is escalating.
